Graeme joined Taylor Shaw in late 2019 as Special Counsel after three years as in-house counsel for a large corporate with branches in NZ and Australia. He was admitted to the bar in 2016 after completing a law degree at Canterbury University, late in life, while working full time. His 42 years of corporate experience provide him with a special perspective and understanding when dealing with clients’ needs. He has a strong background in solving problems in practical ways.
At present, Graeme’s focus is on helping our many family trust clients get to grips with the new Trusts Act 2019, which will become law on 30 January 2021, and providing advice on any necessary changes to trust structure, including, where appropriate, winding up the trust.
Graeme also has expertise in employment law, commercial contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
